I can breathe

Tonight I got breath tested at the McDonalds drive thru! I was super impressed! I thought it quite quite sneaky and very smart, because drunk people go to McDonalds. It's what they do...

hello.

14 sleeps til Christmas. Where has the year gone!

Well I haven't written anything in a while. I guess I'm boring. Today I put a new ipod on layby. I'm excited about that! My old one is full, and it makes me sad. And this way I will have plenty of room for all of my songs and more. To celebrate, I bought an extra 50 downloads from emusic. Yipee! The 26th did seem way too far away anyway. I guess it is only 15 sleeps...

I'm not really sure what has been happening. I've been feeling quite busy recently. I suppose this is my 46 hour week at work, and I have quite a few other Christmasy things going on. I am quite looking forward to Sunday afternoon, where the bulk of it shall be over. Sigh.

I saw a kangaroo hopping up the road last night. I thought it was a person at first. It seems I was wrong.

I would really like to go on a holiday, I have decided. Either that, or find a new job. ha. ha. It's not that bad I guess, but yes. I want holidays! But I don't think that will happen for a while.

Oh, so I haven't eaten chocolate in like... 11 days, I think. I decided to give it up for a while... I still haven't decided how long for. I sort of want to give it up for as long as possible... but that means I could quit at any time. I think I shall keep going, see what happens. I'm thinking I will avoid it at the very least until Christmas. But maybe I will keep going. Hmm. What to do. It's no big deal. But I have decided I should give up something else as well. Not sure what. Maybe juice. I drink too much juice... I'm sure that if I can give up chocolate, I can give up anything. Maybe.

Oh, I need to find 2 santa suits within the next 20 hours. Bother. And a kazoo...

And I think I have done enough rambling for the evening... Now.

Happy.

I am so unbelievably excited. I have Saturday off! And Sunday. Oh, and Monday!!! 3 days... in a row! Yay!

And...

I will no longer be working every Saturday... only every second! So it seems I have some of my life back!

ebay shmebay

Ahh, gotta love it when you bid on things on ebay without really thinking it through.

And especially when you win.

Seriously, what do I want with 20 pairs of kiddie earrings? I don't really know what I was thinking. Oh well!

Thursday, November 06, 2008

hehe, oops.

Oh dear. I guess it had to happen sooner or later... (but never would have been nice)I reversed into a gate. Sigh. I wish I didn't, but I was tired and stuff. And now Lorelei has an ugly rear. 23 hasn't started so well... but at least things will only get better from here. I have decided!

On a happy note, I received something exciting and yummy in the mail! It kinda made my day. I also played in the park with Amanda. The tyre swings were more painful than I remembered, but very fun. And, the mascara I'm wearing is freaking awesome. I was lazy and didn't take it off last night, but when I looked in the mirror at 5:30 this morning, I looked better than normal! No panda eyes at all. And, then today... I had an eye rubbing fit. And I was like oh no, I just rubbed my mascara off... but I didn't! It was still on my eyelashes, and only my eyelashes. Not even a tiny bit of black on my face! So that is a very good thing!

And yeah. Now I'm sleepy and must go... sleep. Ha! I can't wait til Saturday afternoon is here!

Saturday, November 01, 2008

heck yes!

I am sooo excited to have a whole 3 days off in a row! Since becoming full time, I have hardly had a proper day off for one reason or another... excluding Sundays of course. So it is super rad that I have 3 days away from coles! I seriously don't know what to do... and yay, one of those days is a birthday day!

The only sort of interesting thing is, Tuesday is my managers last day before she goes to Cranbourne... and the person who was going to be the new manager isn't coming for some reason. Meaning that I am left on my own until further notice. I hope that notice comes soon... coz there is heaps of stuff I've got no idea how to do. I just hope that when I go to work on Wednesday there is some news! But until then, I am going to try super hard not to think about it... and I'm gonna try even harder not to stress about it.

And back to happy thoughts !

little miss whoops.

It seems that I have a natural talent for being stupid. Oh dear...

So, the other day, I came home to find a certain person playing a certain game on my computer... without asking me! And, I was angry to say the least. So, in my fit of rage, I decided to put a password on my computer... hehe, yeah. That was smart.

So sometime the next day, I had a thought... oh, I hope I can remember that password...

And I didn't. So after hours of trying to remember my password and trying every combination that I could think of... after going to sleep and trying again the next day... I made the decision to factory re-boot (or something like that) my computer. Which of course meant I lost everything. On the positive, being relatively new there was not much to loose... but on the negative, I lost all of my music :( and it took ages to dump it, and because my ipod is full... there was music on my computer that was not on my ipod! I'm pretty sure that I only lost 1 of my most recently downloaded albums, but it is annoying!! And yeah. But I guess thats what I get for being stupid.

At least the password did its job.

what the heck is it with me and milk!

ok... if you thought the last story was... I don't know, something... well this one is like... something more. And yes, milk.

This morning I was pulling a pallet full of milk from the coolroom to the shop floor. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze getting through the back in some places. Hmm, yes. As I got to the narrowest part, I turned around to talk to someone, and with the smallest 'tap' (oh dear) crates of milk went crashing everywhere! Now, in my experience, when they fall and hit the ground, they tend to break... and usually there would be milk everywhere. But today, by some miracle... only about 5 bottles had slight leaks. Not a single smashed bottle! And there was A LOT of bottles and cartons of milk everywhere. It was embarrassing, and annoying... and it put me behind, but I remained unusually calm. Little miss stress-head, calm! It's true I tell you!

Sigh...

So yeah, then as I was filling milk, I discover that no smart buy 3 litre came in. NONE! There might as well have been no milk at all! But yeah... you deal with it. I definitely ordered it, it was even on the invoice... but when I called national foods they said it was 'unavailable'. Thanks for telling me!

Ok and I promise that will be the last milk story.
Well, maybe. I don't have much else going on in my life i'm afraid!

Monday, October 13, 2008

And yay!

Did I mention I got myself a laptop? It's pretty rad. But I wish it was red...

there's nothing quite like the smell of bad milk on your eyebrows...

This week at work I am running the department. It's a little scary, but mostly familiar. And now, for a story.

So today at work, at roughly 8:15am, I was in the coolroom restacking the milk crates and what not. While I was filling earlier, I found some out of date milk, so I was about to throw it into the waste. I was quite tired as it was still rather early and I am by no means a morning person, plus I went to bed way too late the night before. On top of that, the bed I am currently sleeping in is a total disaster. Usually my reflexes at work are quite good, they sort of have to be to avoid youghurt explosions. But like I said, I was tired. All of a sudden, 3 litres of you'll love coles lite had slipped from my fingers, and before I had even realised it was all over my face! I was quite confused. But we must be brave in these situations and not cry. It really would have been a funny thing to see... if anyone was lucky enough to be watching. It felt like a cartoon. It was a very big splash. I guess that is what happens when milk is dropped from head height... it bounces back! And of course it got everything I was wearing soaking wet in that 'oh so yucky this milk went bad 2 days ago' kind of way. But yes, my eyebrows... it was the worst!

Thursday, October 02, 2008

hmm

I think I just signed my life over to coles... or something like that. Yep, I've officially gone full time, as of Monday. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I guess I will have to see how it goes. It means I will be working every single Saturday. And it means I will be working later than I would like to on week nights. Sigh. I'm not sure it was the right thing to do, but it is done now...

Oh dear...

I heart music

Today I bought a cd! I haven't bought a cd in ages, but I really couldn't help myself. I popped into JB hifi to pick up an ipod car thingy (very technical term I know), and it just happened. I did get very good prices... and it's not available in 'my region' on emusic. pfft. But yay, now I can listen to she & him anytime I want!

how strange...

The other day, I bought a fax machine. That in itself is strange... but what is even stranger is that I just recieved a fax. A wrong number fax! How funny...

goodbye bus, hello petrol.

Yay! I have my car, she's awesome. Turns out she is a girl after all, and her name is Lorelei Beatrix. She's perdy. I'm very excited about the adventures that we will have together...

Did I say yay already?

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

finally! well, almost...

YAY! I am almost the owner of my very own car! Hopefully by the end of the week, I actually will be! I have found a car. It is rad. That's rad, not red. It is actually blue...

here is a picture...

Photobucket

Anyhoo, I have left a deposit until the finance comes through, which will hopefully be no later than friday. Oh, there is just so many papers to read and sign! Which I probably should be doing right now. But I am not. Clearly. Actually I probably should be sleeping. Do I sound tired? I think i'm writing funny. Hmm, that would actually be do I read tired? Yep, I think that confirms it. Wish I got a few hours more than I did last night... but, moving on...

So yeah, I can't wait to get my car. I only have one dilemma... and you know what they say, when life gives you dilemmas, you make... dilemmanade!

...

So yes, my dilemma... (dilemma is a funny word. kind of like awkward...)

What shall I name my car? You see, I've only driven it once. I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl yet. If it's a boy it might be Thomas. If it's a girl, it might be Tahlula. Lulu? Hmm... Maybe it's a Tuppence. Oh no! Suggestions are welcome, on both a gender and names! I'm leaning towards boy. And Tuppence.

mmm. holiday.

Oh yay! This year my birthday falls on Cup Day. This also means I can choose to work and earn lots, or have the day off and earn normal. And this year, I am choosing the day off! So exciting too, because the day before is my natural day off. So I will have 3 days in a row!

Now I just have to figure out something exciting to do!

playing house

On the 19th of Sept - the 19th of October (or there abouts) Amanda and I will be housesitting. I am very much looking forward to it, except for the lack of car. So, I have applied for a loan, even though I wanted to save for it... but we will see what happens. How rad it would be to have my own car! Especially within a couple of weeks!

did you know?

Spring Valley Liddle Fact #44

The yo-yo originated in The Philippines as a hunting weapon.

(I quite liked that one!)

so many numbers, so little memory!

hmm, today at work, I did a whoopsie. I was mortified, but I don't think anybody noticed... or at least they may not have noticed it was me. It's really not that bad... its just a whoops. or an oops... whichever you prefer really.

So, over the pa I heard 'Dairy case phonecall 5201, dairy case phonecall 5201'.

Ooh, thats me. I'm in dairy and am a case of some sort...

So down I headed to the storeman's desk to take the call. Hmm, 5201... 5201... I think i'll put in 3301. Ends in a 1... why not! 'Hello thi...' Nope, should have gone with 5201. 3301 is the pa!

So there you go. Just a little bit more proof that i'm a silly. I was embarrassed. I swear when I walked out the girl in the deli looked at me weird. Well, she did in my mind anyway!

pop goes something...

Oh dear. This afternoon I experienced my very first flat tyre.

I was driving home from a tupperware party, and I noticed a funny sound. So I pulled over to have a look. This was surely a smart thing to do. I noticed there was a bolt of some sort stuck in my back left tyre. Not a good thing... but I thought 'Oh well', and got back in and headed for home. (This was surely NOT a smart thing to do.)

Shortly after I made it on to the freeway, I thought somebody threw a rock at me, as I heard a bit of a bang of some sort. It concerned me, but on I drove. I almost made it to Berwick, when I noticed somebody was flashing at me. So over to the side we pulled... The man was like 'You have a REALLY flat tyre... I wouldn't drive on it. Do you have a spare?' My response... 'Um, I don't know! maybe I'll call my dad.' (silly melly. My boot was full of tupperware, I didn't know there was a secret compartment!) Well, calling my dad didn't prove to be so helpful. All I wanted was to be rescued! Anyway, I spoke to my mum, and if she had a car, she would have come straight away... but she didn't, coz I was in it! So, I gave Wendy a call, and arranged for her and Sarah to pick my mum up and come and find me.

I didn't like sitting on the side of the road so much, I didn't like it at all really.

Eventually, help had arrived and mumsy showed me how to change a tyre. In the almost dark. Can't say I really remember what she did... but I am going to make sure I learn properly! We had a dodgy thingo, but luckily Sarah had an un-dodgy one in her boot. And after an hour or so of side-of-the-road-not-so-fun, we were on our way home.

The end.

Thursday, August 21, 2008

hello.

Oh wow. It has been a very long time. I can't believe how long. Surely my life can't have been that boring! It's not that i've been too busy... I just forgot. Hmm...

And yet, I am at a total blank. So nothing exciting has happened too recently, but over the past few months...

June 1- Congratulations Bel & Tom on your marriage! Enjoy your ironing board!

About a week later- Congratulations to Danielle & Dogga on your engagement! Happy planning!

July- I can't remember anything from July... Oh Foundations was born, congratulations Jill!

August 13th- Happy 50th Birthday Dad!

August 18th- Happy 18th Birthday Mel Cleal!

Well, short and sweet... but that is all I have for now. I won't leave it so long til next time. And eventually I will put up some wedding photos etc. I don't have them on the computer since I killed my mother's laptop... but I will make it happen, one day!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

ooh!

I saw an elephant on my way to work today! Actually, I saw 2! The circus has come to town you see. I did always love the idea of running away and joining the circus. hmm, ponders...

tupperiffic!

wow, I can't believe it... I had a really good week this week, tupperwise. I only had 2 parties, but I had sales of over $2300, which = more money for me than I make at coles in a week. So yeah, rad! I am supposed to be saving it all for a car... but it might come in handy to pay for some things needed for the upcoming wedding. yeah!

a slight makeover...

I wonder if anyone will notice.

(ps, I just realised what a strange word slight is. hmm...)

the adventures of car sharing.

Oh, the funniest thing...

The last two mornings I drove my dad to work so that I could have the use of the car. I was actually planning to get everything done yesterday, but after I got home I decided that I needed more sleep, and as it was only 6:03am I decided to have a couple of extra hours. But, silly me... I slept in too late, and I didn't have enough time to get all of my running around things done by the time I needed to. So, I drove my dad to work, came home, slept, woke up, did things at home... and then I went and picked dad up. Ha, really silly... Anyways... Today I really really had to get those things done, so I drove my dad to work again. And yes... I did get my things done, and it meant that I didn't have to catch the bus to work which was rad. Anyways, (this is the funniest thing that I mentioned earlier...) As I was driving towards the big round-a-bout to cross the bypass in nar nar goon, I saw what I thought was a plastic bag in the middle of the road, and I decided to go round. As I got closer I realised that it wasn't a plastic bag, it was actually a chicken! It looked like it was standing there dead, or in shock. I had to double check that it even had a head... it was so bizarre! Ahh... fancy that, a chicken!

Ahh, it was so worth getting up so early! Oh, and my dad works down lovers lane! I had totally forgotten and when I saw the sign I was tres excited! So incredibly Anne-ish. Except there is nothing down lovers lane except for an emu farm and an abbatoir... not very romantic, but incredibly funny!

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

well, at least it's good for the environment...

How tragical. I will be totally without a car after Saturday. I really don't know how my life will work...

modular mates and other things.

Happy Bridal Shower Belinda! On Saturday it was Bel's bridal shower / kitchen tea / what ever you want to call it. We actually decided to do her a tupperware one before I became a demonstrator... but as it worked out, it was my first party! And it was a huge success! Bel ended up with loads of tupperware, and the total sales were very nice indeed! Twas great for my first party, hopefully my next few parties are good too!

I don't have any pictures, but hopefully I can get some from someone...

Oh, and Danielle Bianca made the best ever Belgian lemon tea cake. It was AWESOME!!

On the note of bridalness... Last night we had some hens night planning... I think all of the bridesmaids are quite happy with what we came up with. Of course, I can't say what we came up with... what if Bel found out!

so close... yet so far.

Oh, so it seems that i'm not tech savvy at all... no, no... I'm actually quite the opposite. You see, the problem is this. I made a totally sweet compilation... but I can't figure out how to get the songs off my ipod and into itunes and then... onto a cd. Ahh, it is frustrating. Oh well. I have always wanted to make a sweet compilation... and I finally did. A really good one too. I think Wendy would be impressed. But I can't give it to her.

The end.

tupperlady.

I have my very own tupperware kit! Oh gosh, this thing is fo shiz...

I like the cold. I'm not complaining!

Yesterday I had my very first dairy experience at work! (Well, excluding when I did stocktake...) I must say I really enjoyed it. Today I did another few hours also. Yesterday I was just working load, and today I was shown how to do markdowns. It was amazing how quickly the time flew by... Maybe because i'm doing something new... but probably because there is so much to keep you busy. Next week I will be given another couple of shifts, then the week after I will do a full week... and then there will be discussions about starting my part time position. They decided to ease me into the department, rather than just throwing me in... which I really appreciate. But so far I really like working in dairy. It is quite physical and cold... but I'll get used to it.

I can't say I ever really considered a career with coles, but I guess when there are opportunities to move up and around, why not take them? I mean, I'm not exactly doing anything else, am I now!

playing house and making friends of the woofy kind.

So I haven't really written anything of interest lately, (i'm sure nobody cares that I can't spell people...) so I think its time to do so! Well, at least try to do so. So... here we go.

At the moment I am housesitting for Janneke and Nic while they are in Papua New Guinea. It has been both a fun and interesting experience. I have enjoyed having my own space, but at the same time I have really missed living with people. I have not been totally alone however. I have had the company of Ben & Penny... two rather lovely dogs. Now, prior to this experience, I really didn't like dogs generally speaking... and I was quite scared of them. For the first two nights or so at Janneke's I got my sibs to come over and feed them. But then I decided to be brave and go out and spend some time with them. And... what do you know! Penny sure does bark a lot, but all she wants is her belly rubbed. And all Ben wants to do is play fetch. And so now I have two new friends.

This experience has opened me up to the possibility of one day becoming a dog owner! Something I never thought I wanted to be by choice... but yeah, there you go! Maybe one day I will!

Thursday, March 20, 2008

the other day...

I misspelled people.

PEAPOOL !

hahahahahaaaaaaaa...

from checkout chick to dairy queen?

So yesterday at work, I got a gold star! I thought that was pretty cool. (Not an actual gold star, but a certificate and chocolates because I got 100% in some customer first check thingo... ha, I don't even really know what it means other than I have good customer service skills...) Anyway, today while I was at work, Fiona approached me to tell me that they have a part time position in dairy, 32 hours per week... for me! At first I was like heck yes, but it does mean that I have to work weekends... and yes, Sundays. I really don't want to work Sundays, even though the money is good. They won't make me work mornings at least... and I am hoping that it is not every sunday. If it was only a couple a month, I would strongly consider it. Well i'm strongly considering it anyway. Sigh. I really hope it is not every Sunday...

So yeah. I have easter to think about it, and then the store manager will talk to me. It will be a very different job, and honestly it does make me a tad sad to give up being a checkout chick, which is kinda funny... but I do enjoy it. I'm sure the dairy thing will be hard work, but it will be good. Of course I know I will take the job... but that doesn't mean I've finished thinking and praying about all that I need to. It really does come at a good time though, I think. I need stable hours, I really do. And 32 is a pretty good amount I reckon!

So yeah. That is my latest story!

Another thing... As I was walking out from work and saying bye to everyone, one of the girls I work with was like 'what's that you've got?' (I was holding the position description thingo) I showed her and she was like 'you put that back!'... Oh, to be loved!

Monday, March 17, 2008

feeling hot

sigh. I hate this weather. heat = yuck. and that is pretty much all I have to say.

Thursday, March 13, 2008

In other news...

I almost forgot. I am going to become a tupperware demonstrator! I really hope this new adventure is successful, and that the people around me are supportive. I just figured it would be a great opportunity for me to get out there and have some fun, meet some new people and earn some extra money. I love the fact that it is flexible, and that I can work around my checkout chickness. So yes. I am having a go, so fingers & toes it's a winner. I'm having my announcement party on Tuesday evening, so hopefully lots of people come along and book parties to get me started!

I refuse to go numb...

Well. I just went to the dentist. I got 3 of the 6 fillings I need (eek) and my mouth is very numb. But the worst of it all (and one of the main reasons why I had put off going to the dentist for so long)... I have to get my wisdom teeth removed. Apparently this won't be an easy task... as they aren't exactly exposed. I am really really not looking forward to this! Financially, it is a dumb time... (I have no idea how much is costs... but it is gonna cost something!) I have to get a car, pay for a bridesmaids dress and other related things... all in the same sort of time frame. Sigh... Oh well, this is an opportunity. An opportunity to trust God and to let him be my provider.

So yeah. That is my story.

thanks for your time

Last night I went and saw the basics and gotye at the prince and it was wonderful! I have been wanting to see the basics for ages, but just never really got round to it... and I really wanted to see gotye, like really, coz he is awesome... so I was very happy indeed. And yeah. All I can say is that if you ever get the chance to see gotye... do it! Just one guy and all that music... incredible!

going down...

I have lost 3kgs in the last 3 weeks, and I am pretty happy about it! I am actually looking forward to being weighed and measured next week... for once in my life! I guess all I really needed was some good motivation. And it seems that the whole bridesmaid thing is a good motivator. So yay for Bel and Tom getting hitched!

I heart the library

Today I was bored. So I decided to go to the library. Before today, I hadn't gone to the library in well over a year... but I am very glad I did indeed! Did you know that you can borrow an unlimited number of books for 4 weeks? And 15 cd's for 2 weeks? Coz you can!

I have recently decided that I want to read more. Fancy that! I spend way too much of my time watching movies and tv on dvd... I mean I do love nothern exposure, don't get me wrong... but one should really do other things with their time. And I think I need to stretch my imagination a little. I really haven't been letting it be all that it really is. I am sorry, imagination of mine! (Note to self: must finish reading all of the anne books... I kind of stopped half way through anne's house of dreams for some unknown reason...)

I have also decided that I want to learn how to knit properly. I mean, anyone can knit one purl one, but I want to be able to knit knit. Like make cardigans and socks and stuff. Well, I borrowed this super rad book... and now i'm all inspired.

I also really want to get into drawing again. So I borrowed a bunch of books to do with drawing. I even got this one little book that is all about drawing hands. I really suck at drawing hands...

And yeah. I am excited. And feeling rather inspired... so there you go!

fun times

Ha, I totally published that last one at 11:11!

And I think it was today at work that I looked at the screen when the total of all scanned items so far came to... $111.11!

Gosh, I have a real talent for finding fun numbers. If that is even possible...

walking home late at night

It is always a scary walk from The Villa to my house late at night. There is a particular stretch that is terribly dark... it really freaks me out. Anyhoo, I was just saying to Danielle how creepy it was and then I was all 'ooh, better not scare myself'... and then I left for the oh so long journey home. Yes, I freaked out along the usual part... but then it gets to a 'safe spot' which is nice and light. And then it gets to my driveway... By the driveway, I am relieved because I am home, but part of me still races up and into the house as quickly as I can. This time... was no different from any other, except for one little thing. As I raced up the driveway I walked through a massive spider web... so massive I didn't even know what it was. I was rubbing my arms and it felt really static and strange. I loudly entered the house to see all of these buggy things stuck to me. It was yuck. And there you go. Just when I thought I could relax, I got quite a fright! The end.

(Yep, another extremely crap story. It's what I do...)

I feel like there are spiders crawling all over me p.s.

Friday, February 01, 2008

happy sounds.

Heeharr... I bought cd's today. And last night I ordered another online. I am excited... though there were a few that I couldn't find that I wanted... probably not a bad thing though, coz I shouldn't be spending all my money on cd's! Sometimes it just can't be helped...

oops and again oops...

As of late, I have somehow gotten into the ridiculous habit of leaving things sitting on the roof of the car and then driving off. It usually always involves at least a bottle of water + something else... which has included board games and dvd's. My first offense was a board game. I was driving around the round-a-bout and this dude was pointing at me and I turned around thinking why the heck is he pointing, but as I accelerated up the hill I heard a thud... and there it was all over the road. I then had to go back and pick it all up. Thankfully the cards didn't scatter everywhere... was a tad embarassing though. But yeah I've done it at least 3 times in the last week or two... oh dear!!

no need for bus money just yet...

Do you want to know what I found out today? I found out that I have until mid year to buy my own car. How fabulous! I honestly thought I had three weeks or until whenever it is that Jemimah gets back from Paris. Nobody told me that she wasn't going back to uni until mid year... I have been stressing A LOT about the fact that I will be carless very soon... but that is not the case it seems. I really need to learn to stress less... my teeth REALLY hurt. Oh gosh...

kitten love

Tonight I stormed out of the house in fits of rage (almost literally) and headed off to anywhere (by foot). I was hoping to chill out at the park for a while to do some thinking and some calming, but some kids were playing... what they were still doing up was beyond me! Anyways, I walked a little way but not too far (as I didn't change into appropriate shoes) and hoped to walk away all that was going on in my head. But I had nowhere to go and I didn't feel like walking for ages so I turned around and headed back towards the park. Just as I was approaching, some people were leaving and I noticed that there was a cat wandering around. I walked over to the playground to sit and process stuff... and this little kitty just wouldn't leave me alone! It was pretty intense. At first I wanted it to get away... but it wouldn't give up on me. It was sitting on my lap, purring, trying to climb up my chest... if I moved away... it would run right up to me. It reminded me of a time years ago when I was deeply upset and all I wanted was a hug, and out of nowhere a little kitten came up and began smooching my leg. I really felt that it was God giving me a hug. Maybe God sent this kitty to me also... I mean it worked. I forgot about all that was eating me up. It calmed me down. And then I went home, and life was ok.

I did take photos, but I couldn't find my cord... so I will have to upload them later.

A silly story and a deeper thought...

Well... I am good at not posting for ages, and then when I do its boring! Ha! But I won't let that stop me from having a ramble...

So. I don't really know what there is to say actually. I feel all blocked up on the inside recently, it is quite frustrating. Let me think...

The other day I was to start work at 6am. I usually set my alarm clock for 4:44 on those days, just so I am actually up by the time I am supposed to be... which is about 5. Usually I snooze it once, then I get up. But on this particular morning, it didn't quite happen that way. I'm not quite sure if I snoozed and ignored, or if I just didn't wake up... or if I was confused. But as it turned out I didn't actually wake up until 5:44... The time I usually leave! I had a little bit of a freak out... I mean I was supposed to be opening up the front end. If I was late or didn't show... people would be angry. Anyway... I got ready in lightning speed and got myself to work. And guess what time I signed on at? 5:59! Can you believe it? Heck, I can't! From in bed to at work in 15 minutes. I must say it was some sort of miracle. When I was sleeping literally 10 seconds from were I was working it took me longer than that. Ok, so I must admit... I wasn't wearing socks, I didn't eat breakfast and I didn't clean my teeth (eew)... but I was there. And that is my story!

What else...

Yeah. Life is intense in a very nothingness kind of way. I'm sure that makes no sense at all... I get what I mean. Sort of. I just keep getting stuck thinking about things, but nothing much comes from it. I dunno... its like this. I really want change in my life, but I'm not prepared to do what is required to make it happen. It is a horrible way to live, and it is only the fault of myself. And this is something I am very aware of. Hmmm...

My internet is being a poo... what's the bet that this thing doesn't post...

pink k 68...

Oooh... I went to the eating house in rowville for new years and won a $50 voucher for the restaurant. I know I always win everything... but please don't hate me! So, who's up for some modern australian cuisine! I am! (Tis very good food there. The music ain't bad either!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So yay, it is 2008 already. My thoughts on 2007... well, i'm trying not to look backwards. All of the things that I wish I done, that I thought would happen etc... are in the past. This year is fresh with no mistakes in it... well, no mistakes in it yet! But I am very excited at all of the possibilities. And this year, I don't want to hold back and let fear control me. I don't want to watch things happen... I want to get amongst it. I want to grow and learn and experience things. At the same time I don't want to go crazy and put too much pressure on myself and then be dissapointed when I fail. When I fall I will get up again and just keep swimming!

So bring on 2008!
